Ever so often I hear my neighbor backing out of her driveway or driving down my street at early hours of the morning with her Macan. It sounds fabulous. So fabulous that I’m hoping they depreciate rapidly. I don’t even need an SUV, but I need a Macan. You know what, I need a lot of cars.

I love the Macan and since my beach house neighbor bought an ML63 that he revs every morning when he goes surfing I decided I want one of those too.

Would rather an SRT Jeep.

Luxurious interior, big honkin’ V8, actual usable cargo area (seriously that looks tiny), and every option doesn't cost an arm and leg.

And at the end of the day the Macan is an Audi under the skin for about double the price... At least the Jeep is just that, a Jeep.

The body, interior, engine aren’t Audi sourced. It’s less than 20% Audi parts. The Jeep is still the same Grand Cherokee you just picked up from the Avis counter.
